A market on live trading only works if the race underneath it is clean. Here are some questions people ask, answered plainly.

Can Incept pick who wins?

No. The result is worked out from the traders’ actual trading data on Hyperliquid: every position they held during the race, and every order that filled while it was running. Incept reads those numbers, it does not set them. Every trade shown to you carries its transaction reference, so you can look it up on Hyperliquid yourself and check that it happened exactly as shown.

Can someone back after seeing how the race is going?

No. The order is fixed: backing closes first, then the starting positions are recorded, then the race runs. There is no window in which anyone could see how a trader has started and still get a back on. The race clock also comes from Hyperliquid rather than from Incept’s own servers, so a difference between the two cannot shift which trades count.

What happens when something does go wrong

Incept fails safe. If a starting position cannot be recorded, or a final figure cannot be confirmed, the round is cancelled and every stake is refunded in full rather than settled on incomplete numbers. See When a round is cancelled.

What you can check yourself

Everything the result depends on is published:
  • Every position each trader held, with the price it opened and closed at
  • Every trade made during the race, with its transaction reference
  • The leverage used on each position, which is what Invested is measured against
  • The full profit and loss chart
  • The settlement record: who won, the pool, the fee, and the payouts
How those inputs turn into a result is set out in How the winner is decided. This is also why a trader’s track record is trustworthy. It is not a score Incept made up. It is built from published trading data you can verify.

If you think a round settled wrongly

Save the round ID and contact support. The underlying data is kept and the result can be worked out again from scratch against Hyperliquid.
