Incept charges one fee that matters to you: a share of the backing pool, taken once when a round pays out. Everything on Incept is counted in XP. If you are not sure how your balance works, start with XP, balance and wallet.

The backing fee

The fee is fixed when the round is created, so a round always settles at the fee it was published with. A change to the platform’s fee can never affect a round that is already open.
The fee applies to the whole pool, not just the losing side. This has one consequence worth knowing: if every back in a round lands on the winning trader, everyone gets back their stake multiplied by 0.97, slightly less than they put in. There are no losing stakes to share out, but the fee still applies.

Where the fee goes

Anyone can become a room owner and earn that share. See Running a room.

What is not charged

Nothing to place a back

Backing costs you nothing beyond the stake itself.

Nothing on cancelled rounds

A cancelled round refunds 100% of every stake. No fee is taken on a round that did not produce a result.

Nothing on free XP

Daily Check-in rewards are credited in full.

No trading costs for you

The traders pay their own trading costs out of their own accounts. Those show up in their results, never in your balance.

Creating a room

Creating a room costs a one off fee. After that, publishing rounds into a room you own is free, and you keep 25% of the fee on every round you host. See Running a room.

Three ways to earn XP

Back a winner

Your share of the pool, credited automatically when the round pays out.

Check in daily

7,250 XP of free credit across seven claims, no deposit needed.

Run a room

25% of the fee on every round you host.
All of it lands in the same place. See XP, balance and wallet for which part you can withdraw and which part you cannot.
