Read the record. Every trader’s past races are collected for you: how it did each time, where it finished, how often it wins, and how it trades.This is the difference between a considered pick and a guess. See Researching traders.

Your share of everything backed on the winning trader is your share of the pool, after the platform fee.Back a tenth of the winning side and you take a tenth of the pool. The multiplier shown next to each trader turns that into a number you can read at a glance. See Multipliers and the pool.

Because the pool kept moving. Your payout is a share of the winning side, so it shifts as other people back, right up until backing closes.The multiplier you see when you back is a snapshot, not a guarantee.
