Sometimes a round cannot produce a result anyone can trust. When that happens the round is cancelled, and every stake is refunded in full with no fee taken.
A refund returns your exact stake. Not a payout, not a part of it. The same number you staked, back in your available balance.

Why a round gets cancelled

If the information needed to settle honestly is not there, no money moves at all.

Getting your XP back

Refunds start as soon as the round is cancelled and are processed automatically. You do not need to claim anything or contact anyone. Once refunded, the back shows a net result of 0. You are exactly where you started.

Two things that look like a cancellation but are not

This settles normally. The round records its winner, every back pays nothing, and the whole pool goes to the fee. It is not a cancellation and there is no refund, because the race produced a perfectly clean result.
The round still runs to the end and still has a winner. There is simply no money to move. Rounds are never called off for being unpopular.
